I. Technical Challenge

Metallic impurities in SiC powder (such as Fe, Al, etc.) volatilize into the gas phase at high temperatures. If the gas flow inside the furnace is improperly organized, these gaseous impurities may condense in lower temperature areas of the furnace chamber (such as the inner wall of the shell or insulation layer), or even fall back onto the product, resulting in poor purification efficiency and contamination of the furnace body.

II. Optimal Solution: Vacuum Graphitization Furnace

For this application, we strongly recommend using a vacuum-type high-temperature graphitization furnace.

Working Principle:

  • Direct-Connected Vacuum Pipeline: The vacuum pipeline extends directly into the high-temperature furnace chamber, with the suction port located above the material.

  • Continuous Dynamic Vacuum Pumping: During heating and holding processes, the vacuum pump set operates continuously, creating a stable gas flow within the furnace directed from the material zone towards the suction port.

  • Forced Extraction: Volatile impurity gases are forcibly carried away from the high-temperature zone by the vacuum the moment they are generated, and rapidly discharged outside the furnace through the pipeline.

  • Subsequently, the exhaust gas passes through multi-stage filtration for dust removal and tail gas treatment before safe排放.

III. Technical Advantages

  • High Purification Efficiency: The dynamic vacuum environment avoids secondary equilibrium between impurities and the product, resulting in more thorough purification.
