During the preparation process of carbon-ceramic materials, RMI (Reactive Melt Infiltration) involves heating the hot zone to above 2000°C, where precursor molecules (such as silicon) are driven by capillary forces to infiltrate the porous carbon preform and undergo chemical reactions to form a new matrix.
